    Verdict

In an interesting fillies' handicap where there are a number of challengers, we tentatively choose AVRILO to make it back-to-back wins, with Ajara, Green Velvet and Ask Jenny taken to go close. Avrilo won her last race at Brighton with trip and conditions to suit again here. She ran on really well in her last outing and beat Lucky Leigh by a length. Tom McLaughlin retains the ride and Avrilo should have enough to see off her rivals. One of the challengers could be Ask Jenny who only finished just over a length behind Avrilo last time out and given that they carry the same weight here it is unlikely that she can turn the tables. Ajara has performed poorly so far this year but a slight improvement last time at Chepstow could mean further improvement may be possible. Green Velvet didn't quite have the pace last time at Bath but some good performances last year on the all-weather means she should be considered, even though she has yet to translate that form to turf. In this race we prefer the attentions of Avrilo and she gets the nod.
