In depth

Verdict

Shahzan House is well treated by official BHB ratings and is taken to resume winning ways now that he is dropped to this grade, with Champagne Shadow and Global Challenge rated the main dangers. The selection has failed to run up to his handicap mark of late but this is a much weaker contest and with his stable in good form now, there is every reason to believe that he can bounce back to form. Malibu has given little sign of encouragement of late, while Dagola and Twentytwosilver face no easy task at the weights. Easter Ogil would have claims at his best but has not shown that for some time and of more interest may be Champagne Shadow. Gary Moore's gelding has run with credit in more competitive races than this of late and has more solid claims than Global Challenge, who has a long absence to overcome. Shahzan House has not been in great form recently but the form of the stable's runners of late gives him the vote.
