Verdict

Better known as a jumps trainer, Noel Chance does well with the few runners he has on the flat. Satelcom improved for the step up to seven-furlongs last time and he gave the impression he would be suited by further still. There should be little between him and Eastern Dagger on these terms, although Mark Johnston's colt, who was having his first outing on this surface that day, is obviously open to plenty of improvement. Agilis who split that pair at Lingfield, handed out a comprehensive beating to Call Me Sunshine, who got going far too late. Using Agilis as a yardstick, Call Me Sunshine has plenty in hand over both Satelcom and Eastern Dagger. Although he has ability, Laggan Bay isn't one to rely on and is passed over. The selection is the front-running Evolution Baby, who may well get a soft lead and with Shane Kelly in the saddle, could well take a bit of pegging back around here.
