In depth

Verdict

Ryan Moore is here for today’s Classic trials rather than riding at Ascot and can get his day off to a good start on BALTIC BRAVE. The latter failed to win last year but ran well enough in a much tougher race over track and trip in October and is 2lb lower on his return. Baileys Mirage has been rattling up the wins in lower grade races here but is upped a further 4lb while Perfect Alchemy had a good chance at this track yesterday and would carry a penalty if successful. Jammy Guest was a bit disappointing back at this level last time but Cordite was not beaten far at Brighton recently, though his only win so far was back in 2013.
