        Verdict

        Sophrano, a beaten favourite last time, can get the losses back at the expense of Blue Trojan and Classic Role. Sophrano found one too good in his only serious rival Kingston Town at Southwell a fortnight ago, when beaten for pace over a mile. The step back up in trip is sure to suit, and he will make a bold bid to put matters right. Blue Trojan won off a higher mark at Leicester in October and shaped well enough when fourth to the gambled on Lobos on only his third outing on the Polytrack eight days ago. Classic Role has topweight to overcome but showed signs of a definite return to form at Southwell. Just as adept on the Polytrack, he too has place claims. Hip Hop Harry scored at Pontefract on only his second career start and is another who will win his fair share in the winter judged on his sterling effort here recently. In a tight-knit affair on paper, Sophrano is the pick to small stakes.
