In depth

Verdict

Question marks can be placed alongside most of these but CHARLES KINGSLEY does have the virtue of being very lightly-campaigned so should remain open to plenty of progression. He has only faced the starter four times in three seasons and confirmed his well-being with a solid second in a valuable Hamilton handicap just six days ago over this trip. Noble Gift does nearly all his running on artificial surfaces nowadays while Hollywood Road and Battle Of Marathon appear in the handicapper's grip. Oi The Clubb Oi's has been hurdling on recent starts but could emerge as the main danger in receipt of significant weight all round with Dance Legend, back in the right grade, completing the short-list.
