Verdict
Kinloch Pride beat Pearl Noir to win this in 2017 and the latter went one better in last year’s renewal. Both prefer fast ground and will be hoping the forecast rain stays away as will Burmese Blazer. Come On Dave rarely wins on Turf nowadays and Spirit Power has only won on the all-weather so far while Atyaaf has yet to race on this surface. Jockey bookings suggest Kibaar is preferred to Lexington Place of Ruth Carr’s two runners but a token vote, in something of a lottery, goes to ONE BOY as he was winning off a similar mark at Beverley last year and won’t mind any softening of the ground.
