In depth
Verdict
In what appears to be a very open maiden Maxilla is chosen to get the better of Sentry and Namaste. Luca Cumani¿s filly has already shown a liking for this surface when finishing a close up fourth in a similar event last November. Her only outing since came in April when runner up in a decent handicap at Yarmouth, and although fitness has to be taken on trust, she could land this at a nice price. The likely favourite is John Gosden's Sentry who's form at Newbury in April is head and shoulders above anything else on show, however he was a shade disappointing in a modest maiden at Redcar last week. Namste is one the less exposed runners having had just two outings. He has performed with credit on both occasions and should be in the firing line. Mofeyda is also capable of a good showing but with the track knowledge Maxilla may have the edge.
