Verdict
This has the look of a decent conditions event, with Vague Star and Middle Earth both capable of getting into the shake up, however Emerald Lodge has the winning form and is taken follow up. Jeremy Noseda's colt was successful over course and distance, easily accounting for Boldenka. There were some top stables represented in that contest so it could turn out to be pretty decent form. Vague Star put up an improved performance when finishing third behind two decent types at Nottingham last time, and if handling this surface will be a big threat to all. Middle Earth flopped at Kempton last time after showing tremendous ability to chase home Clove on his Windsor debut, if he puts his best foot forward today he looks set for at least a place. On The Waterline looks best of the remainder, but Emerald Lodge, with the course experience, looks the one to be on.
