Verdict
Almond Willow, Paintbox and The Fun Merchant are all capable of landing a prize of this nature and we will side with the latter.Jeff Pearce's gelding won a couple of claimers at Ayr and Newmarket during the summer, and he hasn't been disgraced in handicaps since. He still looks on a fair mark and should go close if he handles the Polytrack surface. Almond Willow bounced back to form at Wolverhampton last time, chasing home Riska King, he does look a little high in the weights, but should be good enough for a place. A bigger threat may come from Amanda Perrett's Paintbox who has taken on some decent maidens on the turf this season, and with an American pedigree, is likely to handle the all-weather surface. Revenir, from the in form Ed Vaughn yard is also worth a mention, but the value bet here could be The Fun Merchant
