In depth
Verdict
Hernando's Boy is the one to beat, with Holly Walk expected to prove the main danger, and Taranai and Bay Solitaire worth a mention. Keith Reveley has made a great start since taking over the reins from his mother, and looks all set to keep the pot boiling with Hernando's Boy who can defy a penalty. The penny dropped in fine style at Kelso where he was pushed out to beat Holly Walk easily, and although the latter should get closer this time, it is hard to see him getting past the selection. Taranai opened his account at Stratford in the summer and was a bit unlucky when partnered by Tony McCoy at Wincanton, although he was tiring when hampered. Bay Solitaire has over 18 lengths to make up on Hernando's Boy on Kelso running, but that was his first outing over timber and Tim Easterby's charge can only improve. None of the newcomers were anything special on the Flat, and so it looks as though the Reveley run is all set to continue.
