        Verdict

        The most valuable contest on the card has understandably drawn a competitive field with a number of leading contenders including Greek Revival. The Barry Hills-trained top weight has some useful turf form to his name having landed back-to-back wins in July including a conditions event at Newmarket. The son of Royal Academy was out of his depth in Pattern company subsequently but will find this more to his liking and should go well despite a near three-month absence. Bandit Queen had her limitations exposed at Listed level last time but had previously looked a useful prospect when making all to land a nursery at Ayr off 79 and has to be respected. Boston Lodge showed plenty of determination when a narrow winner at Epsom in August and should go well if fit following a break while in-form pair Pupillage and Thurlestone Rock are others to consider but Californian shapes as though needing further and is passed over. A tentative TEAMtalk vote goes to Override who looks ideally suited by this trip having landed a conditions event on the turf course last time. The James Eustace-trained colt, who is a half-brother to a juvenile Listed winner, remains capable of plenty of improvement and can reward each way backers off a potentially lenient mark.
