      Verdict

An interesting contest with a number of unexposed types from powerful yards in opposition. Luca Cumani saddles both Epitome and Katmandu with the former showing useful form when a staying-on third over a mile on heavy ground at Nottingham late last month. However, she is out of a Mr Prospector mare and may find this trip stretching her stamina so is passed over on this occasion in favour of Heronetta. The TEAMtalk selection has previous experience on this surface having run promisingly over the course and distance in July while a reproduction of her effort when fourth over 11f at Bath last month should suffice at this level. Katandi has clearly had her problems since twice finishing runner-up in maidens during the summer and flopped on her recent return to action. Winning hurdler and chaser Chaos Theory made little impact on his Flat debut at Catterick and, along with Dramraire Mist and Mentro, needs to improve to figure.
