In depth

Verdict

Gerard Butler has an enviable record at this venue and can add to the tally with E Minor who gets the TEAMtalk vote. The daughter of Blushing Flame has not looked the most straight forward in the past but did nothing wrong when a facile seven-length winner over two miles here in September and may be able to overcome a subsequent 10lb rise under an experienced apprentice. High Point is a lightly raced type who may be capable of further improvement but is a keen sort who may struggle to last home over this trip while Sabreline needs to prove her effectiveness on this surface. Patricia Philomena has claims on her Musselburgh win in Septemebr but, along with Night Diamond, has been well below her best of late and now has something to prove.
