Verdict
Dawn Piper hails from a top yard and looks the obvious answer here, with Margery Daw and Ballinger Ridge set to fight out the places. David Loder's four-year old is superbly bred by Desert Prince out of a Saddlers Wells mare and showed enough in two outings on the turf at Beverley and Doncaster to suggest he can land a race of this nature. Margery Daw has taken well to this surface but cannot quite get her head in front, once again she may have to settle for place money. Andrew Balding has his string in fine form and Ballinger Ridge ran with credit on numerous occasions on the turf, if he can adapt to the Polytrack a big run can be expected. However just the fact that Loder has entered Dawn Piper is a major sign and this one is taken to oblige.
