Verdict
This is another valuable race that has produced a good line-up, in which the vote goes Prince Tum Tum ahead of Moayed, Chateau Nicol and, possibly, Blue Tomato. The selection defied an absence to score in good fashion in a valuable event at Wolverhampton last time and, much as he is now closely weighted with Quiet Times based on that win, he won with something in hand, and with some dirt blood in his pedigree, he should have more improvement to come. The best of Blue Tomato's juvenile form stands up to inspection. However, it would be a fine training performance were he to score after just just one run since October 2003. Chateau Nicol looks to have a bit to find with Moayed based on seven-furlong form here on December 28, although is more-closely weighted on their course and distance runs of the time before. Both clearly have chances, particularly if you take literal recent form with Quiet Times and apply it to Prince Tum Tum's recent Wolverhampton success. There is no doubt that Moayed is having a great time of things and gained his latest win a pretty decent event at Wolverhampton when stepped up to an extended mile last time. He has to be given a chance even though he has to concede weight to the field. However, on this occasion, we will side with Prince Tum Tum.
