        Verdict

        Another wide-open contest and only a tentative vote goes to Bertocelli over the likes of Robin Sharp, Vendors Mistake, and Coppington Flyer. After winning a nursery at Leicester in 2003, Bertocelli struggled under a penalty, and it was not until his recent switch to the all-weather that he started to improve again. Back over seven furlongs here last time, he shaped well in finishing second to Averami, and as he has quickly adapted, can pay to follow on the Polytrack. Robin Sharp also produced his best form for sometime when beaten in a phot here in May. He has not been out since though and will be straighter for the run. Connections will be keen to get a win out of the well-bred Vendors Mistake to enhance her paddock value and she too has shown a bot of form of late, while Coppington Flyer is a course and distance winner but has been off over three months.
