        Verdict

This looks to be a good opportunity for Merlin's Dancer to finally get off the mark, with Tokewanna and Montana expected to give him the most to do. The Magic Ring colt has been running well in handicap company of late and although he now has something to prove, he has already shown that he can be a force to be reckoned with on his day. Tokewanna is exposed as ordinary so Montana could be the one to give the selection the most to do. However, Merlin's Dancer, who found only Drury Lane too good at Nottingham at the start of June, has a useful turn of foot, which could be the decisive factor today.
