        Verdict

        Both Fields Of Athenry and Metatron made winning starts at Wolverhampton last year but also came up short under penalties last time. Moftris is likely to finish a lot closer stepping up in trip today after a modest debut over 7f at Chelmsford while MOHTARRIF failed to threaten over a mile at the same meeting having found himself at the rear of the field from a wide draw. Marcus Tregoning’s colt will have learnt plenty from that and gets a speculative vote. Ritchie Valens is another stepping up in trip having shown some promise in a couple of outings last summer.
