        Verdict

        Sha La La La Lee made every yard over course and distance last time but Family Fortunes was beaten by only a neck with Insurgence the same distance away in third. Headgear is applied to the latter and the winner has been gelded since but it’s difficult to separate that trio and it could pay to stick with EXECUTIVE FORCE. He was forced to check in the closing stages when beaten by a nose at Wolverhampton a week ago but was awarded the race by the stewards’ to win for the fifth time in six starts and Michael Wigham’s progressive charge should make another bold bid in this. Nonios tries his luck over a shorter trip today while Hateya has his first start since September.
