Topweight Voice Mail races off the same mark as when third to Golden Brief over course and distance earlier this month on his first start since September and, with the gelding entitled to improve for the run, he should be thereabouts once more. Charles Cyzer's Roy McAvoy steps up in trip having won over six furlongs here last time. His chance will be advertised by Illusive (third in that race) when Michael Wigham's horse lines up in the opener. The booking of Eddie Ahern by Willie Musson for New Options catches the eye but he has yet to prove his ability over this trip, while Hugh The Man, who opened his account when winning a Wolverhampton maiden last time, may be better on the Fibresand. Telori failed to reproduce his best form here last week but has claims on a previous third to Easter Ogil and, while Ball King has been in consistent form of late, we just prefer the claims of Aswan. Tim Etherington's gelding, who was formerly with Sir Michael Stoute, has done little wrong in defeat in three starts on the all-weather this winter and, off the same mark as when third to Montecassino Abbey in a better race than this last time, he gets the vote.
