Verdict

The Gerard Butler-trained Annishirani has a good chance at the weights and is preferred over Desert Heat, who is respected but will do well to give 7lb to the fillies, and Perfect Night, whose connections have revisited the drawing board on several occasions with fruitless results already this season. In contrast to Queen Chief has some course experience and it will be interesting to see where she goes when she is handicapped. However, Annishirani has shown a good attitude in defeat in her three previous starts and looks to be a reliable option in a tricky race to close the card at Lingfield.
