Verdict
Another open contest, where the TEAMtalk vote goes to Rose D'Or. After showing some ability between eight and 10 furlongs, she has been dropped to a mark of 60 and has been given a bit of a chance here now she is back over the longer trip, and she can make that count here. Border Edge is a consistent sort who has been running well over a mile and nine furlongs without getting his nose in front. He should again run his race, though looks to have a bit to find with the selection at the weights. Lara Falana could well be the one to chase home the selection. The filly is a grand campaigner at around this trip on turf, and though she has yet to win on the all weather, she comes here 5lbs below her last winning mark. If she handles the track then she can run a big race. Floriana is interesting. She comes from a family that likes some cut and has put in her best performance to date on that sort of surface, so if she likes the equitrack then she can be thereabouts over this trip. Of the remainder, Zamorin has to shoulder top weight as a result of a recent Southwell win. He will get every yard of the trip but does look to have something to find with others at the weights now. Shush has some form on the surface and is back to his best trip here, and though he has been dropping down the weights he is a bit short on confidence at the moment, but could run into a place.
