In depth
Verdict
A tricky handicap that may fall to Pella, with Little Jimbob and Grand Apollo the likely dangers. The selection put up a decent display in a classified event at Pontefract last time behind Wrenlane, and previously landed a competitive handicap at Beverley. Both those races were over a mile so the extra distance here is a slight worry, but he could still be good enough to beat these. Little Jimbob is from the in form Richard Fahey yard and comes into the reckoning on a recent fourth to Sahaat at Pontefract. Meanwhile Grand Apollo hasn't been beaten far in recent races here and at Wolverhampton, so is proven on this surface and should go close off today's mark. At the bottom of handicap, Sachin catches the eye, but for the winner we return to Pella.
