Verdict
Kentford Grebe looks the answer here over Iambe de La See, with Mantilla and One For Me capable of playing a part. Trainer Seamus Mullins won this last year with Compton Chick so his representative will surely have been primed to go well. A long-term plan came to fruition when she won at Newbury and she was then a creditable third at Cheltenham three weeks ago. The aim is to qualify for next years mares' only final at Uttoxeter, and she can take the first step by obliging today on her debut over fences. Nicky Henderson's mare Iambe de La See has not made the expected progress since opening her account over hurdles three years ago, but finally scored again when landing a claiming hurdle at Bangor last month. She is clearly not the same animal these days but maybe a spell over fences will relight the spark. Mantilla was useful over timber and can go well along with One For Me, but Kentford Grebe has the class to prevail.
