Verdict
Even the Banded Stakes faithful are coming to the end of their tether with the mediocrity a race like this represents, but it is testament to it's place in the calendar that eight acceptors will take their chances. And none make more appeal than Larky's Lob, who struggled to win two sellers before openings likes this were introduced. Cargo and Eternal Bloom are the two obvious ones that have to be considered as live dangers, while Boisdale was largely consistent during his time with David Nicholls and has to be noted in the betting in his first try at this level. However, it can safely be assumed that things have not gone his way since he won a Classified Stakes at Southwell last June and he is probably best watched on his second start after his winter break. In contrast, Larky's Lob has made this grader his own and, as he continues to thrive on his regular feed of low-grade racing, he is the one to be on again today.
