Verdict

Though placed in all three previous chase runs, recent hurdles winner Flashing Glance hasn’t run over the larger obstacles in almost two years. Darling Maltaix reverted to type at Newton Abbot having finally got off the mark over fences earlier at Stratford but Morning Vicar was still travelling strongly at Newbury at the end of last year when falling and has bags of scope. BACK ON THE LASH, twice a winner here, goes well fresh and looks a likely type for chasing. He is effective over a variety of trips and Richard Johnson is back on board. Canelo, also a course winner, looked much improved when scoring at Huntingdon in March and he adds to the interest along with Now Look At Me.
