In depth

Verdict

This looks the stronger of the two divisions with the standard set by Mary. Her Cheltenham third last month on the back of a useful runner-up debut reads well and she seems sure to be a leading contender. However, TOUR OVALIE produced a debut of considerable interest when staying on from some way back to come home fourth of 19 in an interesting Newbury bumper and rates a viable alternative to Mary. All four newcomers should be checked out in the market and Moon Lady hails from a yard with a splendid record in these contests. She should improve on her mid-division finish on debut and is respected along with Hard as Nails.
