Verdict

BIGMARTRE won off a similar mark over hurdles last season following a lay-off and has a good record overall when fresh. He has the size and scope to make a chaser so can overcome inexperience to score. Darebin is also making his chasing bow but the others have had at least one run over fences but Mad Jack Mytton possibly the pick having run in better company since winning at Worcester, though he doesn’t always find a lot off the bit. The Gipper will improve on his second at Newton Abbot in May but prefers the mud. Mick Thonic has ability but is thoroughly exposed.
