In depth
Verdict
Campaign Charlie looks the form pick here, but we will take a chance on the newcomer Paradise Bay, with Highland Chief also expected to go well. The selection is trained by Nicky Henderson who does very well with his bumper horses. This gelding is a well bred son of Topanoora and will certainly know his job first time out. The opposition doesn't appear that strong, Campaign Charlie though does have scope for improvement. He was very green on his debut but stayed on well to finish just a short head adrift of the Jonjo O'Neill trained winner, he has to be a danger to all. Meanwhile Henrietta Knight's runner Highland Chief showed plenty of promise in a point to point last season and although chasing will be his game,he could get involved here. Clifford T Ward has also shown ability and looks best of the others, however so long as the betting market isn't totally against him, Paradise Bay looks the one to be on.
