    Verdict

This beginners' chase should chiefly concern four of them, Shanahan, Michabo, Dasher Reilly and Sasso, and the vote goes to Sasso. Jonjo O'Neill's gelding was in the process of giving Warpath plenty to think about when overjumping and coming down four out here last week and although we did not get to see how he would have finished he gave the impression that he has enough ability to win this with a clear round. Shanahan tries the track for the first time and this step up from 2m 1f should suit. He made a pleasing chase debut at Towcester and improvement is anticipated. Dasher Reilly makes his chase debut after finishing second to Herecomestanley in a handicap hurdle last week and his hurdles form entitles him to respect. Michabo finished runner up to Warpath in that same race last week and he is not discounted, though he would probably not have finished ahead of our selection, Sasso.
