In depth

Verdict

Norse Light alternates between hurdles and fences and was successful over course and distance the last time he raced over the smaller obstacles. He’s only 4lb higher so should be in the shake-up while Dan Skelton will be hoping blinkers help Cafe Au Lait end a string of placed efforts, though he probably needs softer going than he’ll get today. WELLS GOLD beat a subsequent winner on good ground at Fontwell in November. He disappointed next time but has had a nice rest since and may be ready to resume winning ways. Picknick Park has shown ability here and continues to slip down the handicap.
