Verdict
A competitive seller gets proceedings under way and many would have chances on their best form but the principals look to be Alpine Hideaway, Naked Oat and Protocol and the tentative vote goes to Alpine Hideaway. The selection ran well in a better race last time out when fourth behind Sir Walter last time out. He will find this grade much easier and off the same mark her he will be hard to beat especially as he would not mind any more rain. Naked Oat rates the main danger on his latest second behind Qabas over course and distance. He is another dropping in grade and has plenty of scope for improvement so he will not be far away. Protocol is another worthy of respect but he was behind the selection last time and their is no reason why he should gain his revenge on the same terms here. Two Steps To Go has a little to find with Naked Oat on a line through Qabas but he will need to improve to win off this mark. Of the remainder Vidi Caesar looks to have plenty to do off top weight and for the winner we return to Alpine Hideaway.
