Verdict
A bumper rounds off the card and as usual in these types of events the market could be all important but the principals look to be Alcris, Golden Measure and Va Vavoom and the vote goes to Alcris. The selection was sent off favourite on his only run to date last season but could only finish in mid-division behind Reel Missile. However he is sure to have learnt from the experience and this looks competitive and with this softer ground sure to suit he will be hard to beat. Golden Measure rates the main danger on his latest second behind Ambition Royal. He is sure to be suited by this longer trip and will not be far away. Va Vavoom is another worthy of respect he won a fair point-to point in good style when last seen and his yard can do no wrong in these types of events of late so he is worth noting in the market. Dayenoo has shown a modicum of ability in two runs to date but he has given the impression he would be seen to better effect over a longer trip so he is passed over on this occasion. Of the remainder Jonny's Kick is another that has shown some ability and is sure to improve but for the winner we return to Alcris.
