Verdict
A wide open novices handicap here and many have chances on their best form but the principals look to be Music To My Ears, Just For Fun and Tee-Jay and the tentative vote goes to Just For Fun. The selection was a fair fourth behind Littleton Valour in a hurdle race last time out. He returns to chasing on a fair mark and under conditions that suit he will be hard to beat. Music To My Ears rates the main danger on his best form but he was pulled up behind Catch The Perk at Perth last time and although this is easier he can not be put forward with any confidence. Tee-Jay is another that would have a chance on his pest form but he has failed to complete the course on his last two runs so is another to have reservations about. Of the remainder Polar Gunner is from a yard in form and is unexposed so at least he could improve so he is worth noting in the market, while Home By Socks is game and consistent and is sure to run his race but he is very one paced and in a race where stakes should be kept to a minimum for the winner we return to Just For Fun.
