In depth

Verdict

LUNAR SOVEREIGN improved with experience in bumpers before completing a double over timber then running well in a Kempton Grade 2. There's likely to be more to come and he can get back on the winning trail. Quinta Do Mar, a winning point-to-pointer, made a very promising start over hurdles on this track before scoring at Ludlow. He has a claimer on board and may prove a bigger threat than Here Comes McCoy. The latter couldn't handle Franigane at Wetherby last time but had the remainder a long way behind. Frascato Bello has shown nothing in two bumpers but should do better over timber.
