In depth

Verdict

Nendrum is on a fair mark and back in the right grade after his latest fourth at Carlisle. Already a winner twice here, Sandy Thomson’s nine-year-old has to go on the short-list. But COME ON CHARLIE (NAP) is one of only two Philip Hobbs’ runners to have made the long journey up from Minehead and he looks the pick of Richard Johnson’s two rides - the Stratford winner should be good enough to defy a 5lb rise. Urban Kode is a course and distance winner who possibly found 2m6f too far last time so can’t be ignored. Patience Tony is preferred to Sierra Oscar of the others.
