Verdict
Persuasive cases can be made for the top four in the weights and LAMASAAS is a narrow preference as he looks the one who could be open to most improvement. He was no more than workmanlike when landing a pretty ordinary Thirsk maiden but his two-year-old form reads well in the context of this race. Lightning Cloud seeks a three-timer and looked to do the job with a little in hand last time at Leicester and further progress looks likely for the Ryan team. Maverik has done little wrong and looks to have a good attitude to his work, whilst Nawaashi cannot be ruled out despite failing to show anything like his form at York last time.
