Verdict
SHANGHAI STAR ought to be good enough to win a claimer while both Birkside and Graycliffe will prove the likely dangers. The selection travels over from Ireland having won in this grade at Sligo last month. He did disappoint when sent off favourite last time out but this looks like an easier opportunity for him and if at his best he will prove difficult to beat. Birkside has won fourteen times throughout his career and is more than capable on his day. His recent form is a little in and out but if anywhere near his best he would go close. Graycliffe won a handicap back in April and has recently been swapping between the jumps and flat racing. He has been dropped in grade for the first time and with that in mind he is worth noting in the betting for any support. Irish raider Shanghai Star is well in at the official weights and if at his best can gain victory.
