        Verdict

        Bold Spirit won a division of this last year and has scored twice at Catterick subsequently, though generally likes a bit of cut in the ground. Napoleon Solo is still a maiden but ran very well at Catterick last time and his yard is going well so he's on the short-list. Mr Cool Cash comes here with a penalty for last week's victory over a mile at Pontefract but should still get involved as should Opt Out, who won the second division of this a year ago, is 4lb lower and has been performing reasonably well. RIPONIAN won a minor handicap over the course and distance last month then led to the trip over a mile on softer ground at Hamilton. He looks to be going well enough at present to merit the vote in a tight handicap.
