In depth
Verdict
Corniche Dancer could be another winner for Frankie Dettori, with The Pen, Mount Ephram and Spinnakers Girl worth a second glance in this company. Mick Channon's team have been in fantastic form over the past month, and even his lesser lights are worth following at present. Corniche Dancer was a maiden winner at Catterick in September and has taken on the likes of Suez in the past as well. The drop to claiming company at Wolverhampton so nearly had the desired effect last time but she was beaten close home. This further downgrade should surely prove a wise move, and she can beat The Pen, a selling winner at Redcar who only went down by a head there in a big nursery field. Mount Ephram is a course and distance winner who probably found the trip too far here last time, while Spinnakers Girl was in better form earlier in the season but has not progressed. All in all, Corniche Dancer has the best claims overall.
