In depth

Verdict

Sir Mark Prescott's Spanish Conquest showed improved form when stepped up in distance last season and has to be respected on his reappearance but the son of Hernando may find the going too quick for him here and a better bet looks to be Coronado's Gold, who is preferred to Trance. The last mentioned has been largely disappointing this season but David Barron's gelding has slipped to a decent mark and he has to be respected. Linda Perratt's Easibet Dot Net has been well held in recent starts, while Rare Coincidence is another that has seemingly gone off the boil of late and looks best watched. The vote then goes to Coronado's Gold, who improved for the step up in trip when chasing home Cavendish at Catterick earlier this month and a reproduction of that effort may well suffice.
