In depth

Verdict

Sedgwick is taken to follow up his recent success at the expense of Collette's Choice and Sir Arthur. This is hardly the strongest of contests, and presents Sedgwick with a great opportunity of adding to his recent victory at Nottingham. The step up in trip was the key to him losing his maiden tag that day, and a further two furlongs here can only be of benefit to James Given's charge. Collette's Choice is on a retrieval mission after falling three furlongs out when sent off favourite at Beverley 12-days ago. That was her second run of the campaign and she should make a bold bid to get the losses back. Sir Arthur dropped away tamely on his return at Newcastle and is now stepped up in trip. He has been out of form and is saddled with topweight but could surprise with a big run. However, for the winner we like the look of Sedgwick.
