        Verdict

        Although the market will no doubt prove informative, we shall row in with Thunderwing ahead of Sam's Secret, Thistle and Following Flow. Having just been touched off in a mile claimer at Southwell the time before last, Thunderwing was then stepped up to 12-furlongs at Catterick a fortnight ago, and patently failed to stay. Dropped back in trip and down to selling level, he has leading claims. Sam's Secret hails from a shrewd yard, and you can be sure that he will lack for nothing in fitness, while Thistle has disappointed so far but can make his presence felt in this company. Following Flow beat midweek York winner Tcherina at Catterick three years ago when trained by William Jarvis, but has not shown anything like that form since. However, he could easily take a hand here, without being quite good enough. Thunderwing gets the vote.
