Verdict
Hopeful Isabella could be a blot on the handicap and is the pick ahead of Jewelled Dagger, Desert Soul, Prince Noel and Crosby Jemma. Given the way Sir Mark Prescott operates, it can be safely assumed that Hopeful Isabella will find plenty of improvement this term having had three quiet runs as a juvenile. Punters latched on to her first time back at Beverley, but she was never in with a shout in the rear, and the feeling is that she will now start to reveal her true potential on this here handicap debut. Jewelled Dagger carries a 6lb penalty for his recent success and has to give lumps of weight to the selection, while Desert Soul appears to be a shade high in the ratings for what he has achieved. Prince Noel is on the upgrade though, and Crosby Jemma showed that she is stronger this year with a promising run at Catterick. She too makes her handicap debut, but our allegiance lies with Hopeful Isabella.
