In depth

Verdict

Drummoyne is nicely bred but Mark Johnston's two-year-olds have yet to strike form. Kodiac King was well backed on his debut at Ripon but finished some way adrift of ALEJANDRO and Almond Branches. Richard Fahey's colt travelled strongly that day and was just run out of it in the closing stages - he can go one better here. Tim Easterby was responsible for the winner of that race and saddles the filly Blue Shoes in this. Another daughter of the speedy Kodiac, she is also worth a second look if the market speaks in her favour.
