In depth

Verdict

Ubi Ace won over hurdles at Huntingdon last month and made a successful reappearance on the Flat at Thirsk. He has to have claims in this off bottom weight while Deauville Post is still at the right end of the handicap, despite a recent Lingfield win, and is a rare runner here for Richard Hannon. Nave was third over 1m4f at Beverley on his return to action but Becausewecan is probably better handicapped and may prove the pick of Mark Johnston's trio. European Dream is fit from a campaign over timber while Beat The Rush and Boston Blue could find further improvement this year. But there's a chance that TRES CORONAS will appreciate this step up in trip. His dam won over a 1m4f and there was a lot to like about the gelding's comeback sixth at Doncaster.
