In depth

Verdict

First Account, a winning point-to-pointer, had shown plenty of potential before landing a novices' handicap chase here last week on his first start for Keith Dalgleish. Trongate is better over fences but ran very well over timber here last week and will be suited by the longer trip. BUCKLED hadn't been in the best of form over hurdles before sauntering home in a handicap chase here last month. If he can produce a repeat, he'll be very difficult to beat despite a big leap in the weights. Calivigny gained a very easy victory over hurdles at Ayr then completed a double over fences at Sedgefield. He's struggled from his new mark over the bigger obstacles subsequently but may do better back over timber. Island Heights and Jennys Day are both returning from long breaks but the former has the form for this if ready.
