Verdict

Frightened Rabbit went up 8lb for scoring at Carlisle and wasn't quite able to cope in heavier conditions at Hexham. Royal Cosmic landed a novices' event over track and trip from today's rival Smart Lass and started favourite for a handicap on a return visit but never recovered from stumbling and can do better. The runner-up is no better off and looks held but BLOORIEDOTCOM finished a close second in that latter event after scoring here on his previous start so looks the one to beat. Monfass has place prospects though has been looking a few pounds high.
