Verdict

A disappointing turnout numerically but both ZOFFANY and Suntan look useful early types with preference for the former despite a penalty for an impressive debut success when odds-on at Leopardstown. He probably didn't have much to beat that day but did it nicely and some fancy entries suggest there is much more to come. Suntan's second to High Award on the season's opening day at the Curragh has been boosted by the success of the third but he may find the selection too strong at this stage of his career though he still looks better than stablemate Scriobhai, who was well behind Zoffany at Leopardstown. Mrs Happy showed plenty of promise behind So Stylish at Navan and a good run from third-placed Eastern Light in the opener will point to her chances.
